Wanaka Walks

One of the best short walks in the world. 2-3 hours from the carpark up through beech forest and past roaring waterfalls to a mountain meadow right under the glacier. Have lunch next to a beautiful mountain stream but watch out for the local Keas (a mountain parrot).
